The Tornex Panel
The Tornex Panel system separates smoking areas
from non-smoking areas by employing "air curtains". Tobacco
smoke is absorbed through clean panels, purified by electrostatic collectors,
and then released as cleaned air back into atmosphere. This flow of air
is regulated so that negative air pressure is always maintained inside
the area.
The Panel System is of modular design and is ideally suited for use in
open areas such as concourses, lobbies, and break-out areas of conference
centres. This product has proven highly successful in airports throughout
Europe. The units can generate significant revenue through the leasing
of space on the unit panels.
Tornex Cube
The Tornex Cube offers a completely enclosed smoking area, preventing smoke drift whilst utilising the Tornex electrostatic filtration system. The stand alone Cube is modular and can be fitted together to create larger areas. It also features PlasmaclusterTM ION Technology which inactivates 99.5% of airborne viruses and bacteria to keep the air inside hygienic.
The Tornex air curtains
Tornex offer two types of air curtain to help
prevent the spread of smoke from a smoking area to a non-smoking area.
The air curtains are recommended for use with all Tornex smoking room
installations and are also used in the Tornado Table solution.
The constant flow of air from the air curtains acts as a barrier to prevent
smoke from drifting out of a smoking room or area.
Standing Air Curtain:
This air curtain measures 2300-3000mm in height, features 4/5 cross flow
fans (depending on required height), and is used to separate open plan
smoking areas.

Door Air Curtain:
Measuring 900mm in length, this air curtain features 2 cross flow fans
and is positioned above the doorway of a smoking room.

The Tornex Tornado
The Tornex Table adopts a revolutionary smoke
control system that controls air flow using an artificial tornado. Strategically
placed Tornex Air Curtain Poles provide an air current around the table
and create a tornado effect. Smoke-filled air is caught by the tornado,
absorbed by the inlet at the centre of the table surface, purified by
the three stage filtration system, and then exhausted into atmosphere
as cleaned air.
Ideal for meeting rooms, staff canteens and even board rooms. The Tornado
Table is a useful way of creating small, open plan, meeting points.
